Qualifying

For a bit of an end of season laugh, me and Blakeman and his 'wife' packed up the van and went for a bit of a road trip to Cadwell park. We did it full on, on a budget and slept on the floor in the back of the van but it was such a laugh. Then in first practice I was following my road-trippin hombre when he lost the back end in a very fast corner in first practice. He was sliding on his backside right infront of me as I tried desperately not to hit him but I ended up using his knee as a take off ramp and executing a perfect flying W before crashing back to the ground. I was so worried about him that I was running back to him before I had even stopped crashing but thankfully he was getting back up to his feet pretty much unharmed. Panic over and pretty funny.

Anyway, after that was qualifying and I managed to put her on pole position.

Race 1

I took the holeshot for the first race and gapped a few seconds in the first few laps. It was hard to pull away as the track was very untechnical but I had enough of a gap to practice some nice jumps over the mountain and some wheelies in the last few laps. Lee Jones was going very well in 2nd though and kept me honest.

Race 2

The 2nd race was very similar to the first only this time Blakeman was riding a 250 after his 560 had given up on him. He was flying on the little thing but it was so slow down the straight he had absolutely no chance. When I came round to lap him he was still flat out on the gas in full tuck position as I was sliding in on the brakes. Hilarious!

Race 3

The final race was a bit easier than the others and the highlight was once again lapping my buddy Mr Ricky B. He was going even faster than he had done in the 2nd race on the little 2 fiddy and I even got to give him a bit of a cheer on as my went past on my 550 on half throttle. It was a quality weekend and it was nice to take the clean sweep. We even had warm autumnal weather which was a major bonus!
