Red Bull has got to be the coolest sponsor going in terms of trips out and they didn't disappoint when they invited us down to Silverstone to see the final test at the Northamptonshire circuit before the GP proper. The Red Bull and Toro Rosso cars looked and sounded amazing out on the track. What I thought was really amazing was the braking zone distances. For example, if the car was going 200kph it would take just 50 metres to come to a complete stop. That must feel like your eyeballs are being ripped from their sockets evertime you brake!

If getting up close and personal to the most expensive, fastest cars in the world wasn't enough, we also got to do a few driving activities. In the morning I went off-road driving. It's pretty amazing what the old Land Rovers can get over with pretty much no driver input. In the afternoon though we got to go rallying. What an amazing experience that was. The Cars were only 1.6 Peugeots but it was just about the most fun I have ever had in a car.

Anyway, cheers to Red Bull (espescially Robbie) for a quality day out!

4x4 was the start to the day and it was quality. Unfortunately the 'suicide drop' was out of action incase someone died but that didn't dampen things down, that was left to the swimming pool section where the water went up and over the bonnet. Oh and if your wondering, no, Land Rovers aint watertight!

The Rallying was about the best part of the day for me. It was just so much fun and I only crashed once. Bonus!

The Red Bull racing car is a beautiful piece of machinery.

However, it costs millions and millions of pounds to devolp and is the very pinnacle of technology and yet, it still doesn't have a reverse

DC pulled in midway during the session. Apparently the Eastenders omnibus was on TV and he didn't want to miss a minute.

When he was ready to go back out though he complained that the front end was a just a little unresponsive. The technicians are still checking their laptops to find out why ;p

Red Bull rules! Cheers guys.
